Our Leaders

BigTyme Sports Preparatory Academy is founded, owned, and operated by two young black men that love to help kids succeed. Both, Shelmon Smith and Michael Bables, have devoted a large portion of their adulthood to giving back to the youth that come from hardship. Their drive and their passion has always been led by their focus on improving our country from the bottom up.

Our leaders believe that every child can reach their full potential with a little aspiration, a little inspiration, and a lot of dedication. So, we put an emphasis on finding students who have already recognized their passion for sports, whether that be on the court/field or behind the scenes (aspiration). We have chosen leaders in and out of the classroom that have already accomplished some of the things that our students want to accomplish (inspiration). Everyday in the classroom and on the court, we focus on teaching our students how to put in the focused and attentive work necessary to be successful (dedication.)
